TADA Medical Supply’s nutrition products — including vitamins, protein supplements, and meal replacements — are dietary supplements regulated under DSHEA. They are NOT durable medical equipment (DME) and are not eligible for HCPCS-coded receipts or insurance reimbursement through our platform.
Vitamins, protein supplements, and meal replacements sold on TADA Medical Supply are classified as dietary supplements under the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA) of 1994. These products are not durable medical equipment (DME), not medical devices, and not prescription medications.
As dietary supplements, these products are intended to supplement the diet and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Nutrition products do not carry HCPCS codes and are not displayed with HCPCS coding information on our platform. Unlike DME products listed on TADA Medical Supply, vitamins and supplements are not eligible for HCPCS-coded receipts.
TADA Medical Supply does not bill insurance on behalf of customers for any products, including nutrition items. We do not submit claims to Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance carriers. The self-filing reimbursement workflow available for DME products (using HCPCS-coded receipts) does not apply to nutrition products.
All nutrition products on TADA Medical Supply are available for purchase without a prescription. These products are not classified as “medical food” as defined under FDA regulations (21 CFR 101.9), which require a product to be formulated to be consumed or administered under the supervision of a physician for the specific dietary management of a disease or condition.
The nutrition products we offer are not a substitute for prescribed nutritional support, enteral nutrition formulas, or any other medically supervised nutritional therapy. Customers requiring prescribed medical foods should consult their healthcare provider or bariatric care team.
TADA Medical Supply accepts FSA (Flexible Spending Account), HSA (Health Savings Account), and OTC Flex Cards as payment methods at checkout. However, vitamins and supplements are generally NOT eligible for FSA/HSA reimbursement unless your specific plan covers them or you have obtained a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) from your healthcare provider.
It is the customer’s sole responsibility to verify FSA/HSA eligibility with their plan administrator before using these payment methods for nutrition products. TADA Medical Supply makes no representation regarding the eligibility of any specific product for FSA/HSA reimbursement and is not responsible for denied claims or ineligible purchases.

Due to health and safety regulations, opened ingestible products (vitamins, protein supplements, meal replacements) are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
Unopened products in their original sealed packaging may be returned within 30 days of delivery. A restocking fee may apply. Damaged or incorrect items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery for a replacement or refund.
